- Testimony in favor of Bill 8-31
Buenas Yan Hafa Adai!!! My name is Matt Rector and I am testifying here today as the President of GFT, Guam’s Local Union, in favor of Bill 8-31 which would allow the Department of Education to begin the process of rebuilding our school communities by once again allowing DOE to hire their own custodians and maintenance personnel. I stand in favor of this bill for three simple reasons, it’s good for our children, it’s cost effective and it’s good for our island. - Dr. Phil endorses Matt as GFT President
In the past 7 years Mr. Rector as GFT Union President has worked hard to ensure that the GFT rank-and-file receive the benefits they deserve. In that time Mr. Rector has had a long list of accomplishments. I have every confidence that Mr. Rector if re-elected will continue to bring in benefits to the GFT members. - Please Vote!!!!
Please reelect the current winning GFT's Winning leadership team: Matt Rector (President), Tim Fedenko (VP), Sanjay Sharma (Sec) and James Lujan (Treas). Voting begins on Tues 2-22 from 8am to 5pm at the GFT office and continues through Fri 2-25 - THE WAR ON OUR FAMILIES CONTINUES

Brewing beer is not Rocket science and it is well within our means to have multiple b
- Graceful exit
SO, Matt Rector quits. His surprising move rendered an anticlimactic ending to the political drama that built up so much expectation for a live TV coverage of histrionics at the ethics committee. The aborted noontime show would have given the gavel-snatching episode a run for its money. - Matt Rector steps down
Matt Rector steps down as Senator effective 12:01am Wednesday, January 20, 2010.Matt Rector states, “First I would like to thank the 14,366 people that voted for me and the thousands upon thousands of people that have, talked, called, emailed, wrote letters to the editor, twittered, facebooked or myspaced me with messages of support and solidarity.
